Systems Accountant / Project Accountant As this ambitious insurer continues their expansion they are looking for a qualified accountant with insurance experience to join them a key person driving their finance change programme. This broad role will include :
- Support the finance department in the implementation of a new general ledger including setting up chart of accounts
- Understanding their underwriting data (from actuarial, claims, reserving etc) to helping come up with solutions to automate
- Full life cycle from detailing functional requirements through to creating test scenarios and ultimately user acceptance testing
- Support the data migration activities
- Creation of documentation to outline proposed changes
- Understanding business processes and identifying areas of improvement
- Developing a suite of reports both for finance and underwriting
You will be a qualified accountant with direct experience of working within the insurance market from broker, MGA, underwriter or reinsurer. Have a strong systems and project focused. Experience of GL implementations within an insurance evironment would be beneficial as well as general insurance data automation projects.
