Broster Buchanan are hiring for a Tax Accountant for a leading transportation organisation.  This is a permanent, full-time role based out of their Central London office, but supporting 3 days per week remote working. The position comes with a salary of circa £65k-£75k plus 15%-20% bonus, 15% pension contributions and a great benefits package. Working closely with the Senior Tax Managers, the Tax Accountant will fulfil a mixed tax position covering all types of business tax (corporation tax, VAT/indirect tax, employment taxes etc.) The role-holder will enjoy a varied role with a mix of tax compliance, tax advisory, business partnering and tax project work.Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting the Senior Tax Manager in ensuring all tax filing/payment deadlines are met.
  • Preparation of Alphatax CT computations and submissions for 9 companies (2 UK tax groups).
  • Assisting with the tax reporting for monthly and quarterly management accounts for board reporting including monthly computations and DT calculations.
  • Assisting with the preparation of the quarterly VAT return for the VAT group (using excel and AlphaVat software.
  • Assisting the Senior Manager in providing ad-hoc support as required to Finance, HR and the wider business.
  • Preparation of tax provisions for year-end Statutory accounts (entity and consolidated) including current and deferred tax and IFRS tax disclosures.
  • Assisting the Senior Tax Manager as required on ad-hoc tax queries and projects.
  • Assistance with P11D’s / PAYE Settlement Agreement (During April / May).
