Radley Green is partnering with a fast-growth, UK based international accounting firm to recruit their new Tax Director.
The role will join their leadership team in London, overseeing the tax department and driving its strategic growth and operational efficiency.
This role will involve managing a team of 15 tax specialists, delivering tax compliance and advisory services to a portfolio of around 350 clients, primarily made up of international companies looking to expand globally.
This role will pay between £140k and £175k plus bonus, great benefits, hybrid working (2 days a week in London) and the opportunity to build a world class team and department.
This is a corporate Tax role for a fast-growth practice firm and the role requires someone who is experienced within a Practice or Consulting environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for client relationships, ensuring exemplary client service and commercially focused interactions.
- Take responsibility for managing complex issues and providing advisory solutions, fostering trust with both existing clients and new prospects.
- Drive client service excellence by acting as the relationship lead across the firm, responding proactively to clients' evolving business needs.
- Work with SLT to drive growth and profitability across the firm
- Lead and mentor a team in delivering a range of tax compliance and advisory services, including corporation tax, transfer pricing, VAT, share schemes, R&D Tax Credits, and payroll tax filings.
- Recognised for deep tax expertise, with the ability to see the bigger picture in international tax matters.
Professional & Technical Requirements:
- Proven experience in delivering a range of mixed tax services within a professional services or accountancy practice environment.
- Strong technical knowledge in UK tax compliance with a specialization in areas such as corporate tax or transfer pricing.
- Extensive experience in international tax advisory, working with international clients on matters like permanent establishment, tax treaties, withholding tax issues, and cross-border transactions.
- Knowledge of share schemes, UK & EU VAT, and ability to advise on these effectively.
- Demonstrates commercial awareness, including understanding financial targets and achieving efficiencies.
