Bennett & Game are delighted to be partnering a pristine, ambitious and growing firm of accountants, with multiple offices, as they recruit for a Tax Trainee to join their growing team. Based near Canary Wharf, the firm are experienced ongoing growth, and have an exciting opportunity for a tax trainee

This role is suited to an ambitious accountant looking to explore a career in tax. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, personable, and have a great willingness to learn. The role can be well suited to someone with 1-2 years experience, or even a graduate

Tax Trainee Job Overview
  • Assisting senior staff in all aspects of their work as required, for example; requesting information, client liaison;
  • The preparation of client tax returns and computations, assisting in advisory projects and research, both at the office and at client premises;
  • Handling incoming telephone calls both internally and externally;
  • Updating records on the internal management system and maintaining accurate records;
  • Preparing and despatch of standard letters, requesting and sending reminders;
  • Providing ad-hoc administration support, including scanning, emailing and other clerical;
  • Making suggestions on how to improve the firm's workflow processes and procedures;
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be allocated from time to time.
Tax Trainee Job Requirements
  • The position demands a good deal of confidence from the successful individual, as well as flexibility and a willingness to further the objectives of the firm;
  • May be in possession of a maths- or accountancy-related University degree, although this is not a pre-requisite;
  • Previous tax or office experience is an advantage but is also not essential;
  • Must be presentable, a clear communicator, and possess an excellent telephone manner.
