About the RoleAs a Tax Technical Manager/Senior Manager, you will be key in shaping tax risk management, quality control procedures, and knowledge-sharing strategies. With tax regulations becoming increasingly complex, this role is crucial in ensuring the firm's tax professionals are well-equipped with the latest insights and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance tax risk management and quality control procedures.

  • Maintain and improve the firm's internal tax knowledge database.

  • Keep current with tax developments relevant to the firm's clients and communicate key insights.

  • Produce tax-related content for internal use (bulletins, newsletters) and external publications (website content, articles, press commentary).

  • Support the development and delivery of internal tax training.

  • Draft responses to HMRC and HMT consultations on tax policy.

  • Create templates, precedents, and checklists to streamline client services.

What We're Looking For:

  • CTA qualified (or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience.

  • Ability to quickly understand and communicate complex tax developments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with SharePoint is an advantage.

  • Interest in leveraging technology for knowledge management and process improvement.

  • Self-motivated, with strong project management skills and the ability to drive initiatives forward.

  • A collegiate approach, working with teams at all levels to implement effective tax processes.
