Join a leading music specialist firm as a Tax Trainee in our Tax Department. This role is perfect for someone with a keen interest in both tax and the music industry, looking to develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Prepare, review, and submit personal, partnership, and corporation Tax Returns to HM Revenue & Customs in a timely manner.
- Assist the Tax Manager with the effective running of the Tax Department, including submissions and payments, workflow, and statistics.
- Provide assistance with the preparation of forms P11D and various other tax forms.
- Assist with setting up new clients, including registering for UTR numbers and managing Government Gateways on behalf of clients.
- Correspond with HMRC on routine matters via letter, email, and telephone.
- Provide tax information for mortgage applications or for accountants/advisers in other tax jurisdictions.
- Organise department filing and assist with ad hoc projects as needed.
- 2-4 years’ experience in a tax-related role.
- Familiarity with CCH or similar tax software.
- Possible ATT studier or equivalent educational background.
- Strong working knowledge of business and personal taxation.
- Excellent organisational skills and a team player with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to multi-task, with strong attention to detail and good time management skills.
