Our client is looking for immediate support for their Finance Department. Are you a strong, confident communicator looking for a temporary position? ??�?

Role: Temporary Financial Accountant

? HOURS: 9am - 5.30pm

?? SALARY: £15

?? LOCATION: Hammersmith

What you will be doing... ????

  • Assist with the preparation of the monthly management results, including updating the month-end model
  • Take ownership of the trial balance, including preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Prepare and process month-end journals and reports
  • Prepare variance analysis and commentary for cost areas, working closely with budget holders to understand their results
  • Review the T&E report and facilitate discussions with management
  • Ensure compliance with T&E policy by approving T&E reports in Concur
  • Manage recharges, including invoicing costs to wider group entities and regularly reconciling recharge control accounts
  • Prepare the weekly cashflow
  • Prepare the monthly, quarterly, and yearly ONS returns
  • Be responsible for the UK VAT return
  • Support the Head of Finance with the completion of the audit field work
  • Assist with the first draught of the consolidated annual financial statements
  • Prepare supporting documentation and assist with calculations for the corporation tax computation
  • Prepare the first draught of the annual calculation of PSA payment ready for review
  • Support the financial planning process, including budgets, quarterly forecasts, and the 5-year plan
  • Assist other team members in the approval and processing of supplier invoices relating to finance, when appropriate
  • Identify, develop, and implement process and systems improvements
  • Provide ad-hoc support for the Head of Finance when required

To be successful in this role you will have... �?�?

  • Excellent communication skills, both face to face and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with non-financial colleagues
  • Excellent time management skills, confidently managing conflicting priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Well-developed autonomy and proactive working style
  • Part-qualified ACCA, ACA, or internationally recognised financial/accounting qualification
  • Competence in using ERP financial systems, such as SAP, BPC, and Concur
  • Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills, specifically pivot tables and look ups
  • Excellent understanding and application of month-end close and reporting
  • Experience working in a multicurrency reporting environment
  • Proven experience in the management of external audit
  • Experience in financial statement compilation
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, including knowledge of debits, credits, prepayments, accruals, and commitments
  • Highly numerate with demonstrable problem-solving skills to provide accurate, timely, and relevant information that adds value
  • Ability to anticipate and provide additional information when necessary
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to review and interrogate information prepared by others
