Temporary Senior Management Accountant
Duration: 6 Weeks - Immediate Start

Hourly rate: £23 - £25 per hour
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Management Accountant for a temporary 6-week engagement, commencing immediately. Applicants must have at least 5 years of experience in finance, with a minimum of 3 years in a Management Accountant or Financial Accountant role. This hybrid position requires a professional with significant expertise in budgeting and forecasting. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is being part or fully qualified in a professional accounting qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor the Assistant Management Accountant.
- Manage the Month-End close process for assigned directorates, programmes, and subsidiaries.
- Assist in the preparation of consolidated reports for Board packs.
- Conduct Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), including monthly Profit and Loss, Cost, KPI, and variance analysis, as well as other ad-hoc analyses as required.
- Hold regular meetings with cost centre managers, project managers, and directors to report on the financial performance of assigned directorates.
- Maintain account reconciliations (accruals, prepayments, deferred income, and accrued income).
- Manage and maintain the fixed asset register and associated policies.
- Support the annual budgeting and business planning process, collaborating with cost centre managers and directors in developing their budgets, compiling budget assumptions, and preparing rolling forecasts.
- Maintain finance systems as required within the reporting function.
- Assist with audit and year-end processes, liaising with external auditors when necessary.
