We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Accountant to join our finance team. In this entry-level role, you will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, learn about the financial operations of a listed company and receive full support to pursue a professional accounting qualification.

Client Details

My client is a medium sized FTSE listed logistics business, with a finance team of over 35 people.

Description

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including ledgers and journals
  • Support the team with month-end and year-end accounting processes including the year-end audit
  • Assist with the reconciliation of bank statements and balance sheet accounts
  • Handle administrative duties related to accounting and finance systems
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Engage in ongoing learning and development through study support and professional qualification progress

Profile

  • A keen interest in pursuing a career in accounting
  • Strong academic background, educated to degree level
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Prior experience in an office or finance environment is an advantage, but not required
