This role will lead the transactional finance department. You will oversee global accounts payable/receivable, billing, banking, and treasury operations across our four entities (UK + European entities). The role reports directly to the head of finance, and offers a hybrid working arrangement.

Client Details

Our client is a mid-sized technology company with revenue from its consumer marketplace, advertising, and media subsidiaries. They are headquartered in London and operate in 3 other countries in Europe, with about 300 employees total.

Description

  • Manage a team of 3 direct reports and oversee daily global AP/AR operations (UK & Europe)
  • Supervise the full global AP/AR workflow, including task delegation, coaching, and review of supplier/customer onboarding, invoice processing, approvals, payment runs, reconciliations, and managing outstanding balances.
  • Maintain and improve cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate funding for the company.
  • Oversee bank accounts, ensure regular reconciliations, and manage the allocation of receipts and payments.
  • Continuously assess current processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement enhancements, focusing on automation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures related to transactional finance.
  • Participate in broader company projects, particularly those that influence transactional finance processes and controls.

Profile

  • Proven experience managing AP/AR in a comparable role is required
  • Global AR/AP experience across various countries/entities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Accountancy qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred but not mandatory
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Google software
  • Experience with Netsuite is a plus
