Sheridan Maine is partnering with a branded FMCG business that is part of a global group to recruit a UK Financial Controller based at their central London offices. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic organisation in a pivotal role, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller. This position offers a hybrid work pattern (2 days office / 2 days home), providing flexibility alongside a collaborative and high-performing finance team.Key Responsibilities of the UK Financial Controller will include:
  • Lead the Financial Reporting team, ensuring the quality and timely production of internal and external reporting.
  • Manage the external audit process as the key audit contact.
  • Own the end-to-end financial reporting process, including management accounts, group reporting and statutory accounts.
  • Streamline accounting processes, financial controls and systems to drive efficiencies.
  • Work with the Commercial Finance team to ensure accurate brand financial reporting.
  • Develop a high-performance team by providing leadership, support and mentoring.
Key requirements for the UK Financial Controller:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with up-to-date technical accounting skills
  • Proven experience in a similar Financial Controller role, ideally within an international, multi-entity organisation.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and developing teams.
  • Strong process improvement mindset.
  • SAP S4 experience preferable.
