Our client, a forward thinking, established firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking a VAT Senior to join their team in the City of London.
You will be responsible for a mixed portfolio of clients, overseeing their VAT matters, dealing with VAT compliance processes, managing complex queries and providing advice.
Key duties include:-
- Preparation and review of of VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Reviewing VAT calculations, reconciliations, and adjustments prepared by the team.
- Supporting and managing junior members of the team, providing guidance and training.
- Liaising with clients and ensuring planning processes meet their needs and statutory deadlines.
- Reviewing files, ensuring all standards, quality and compliance requirements are met and any issues identified.
- Keeping up to date with the latest VAT legislation and regulations.
You will ideally hold a professional accounting or finance qualification such as ATT, ACCA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent and have at least 3 years' VAT experience within practice. You will also possess strong UK VAT regulations and legislation knowledge, as well as an understanding of VAT compliance processes.
