YARDI - Business Systems Manager - Real Estate. OUR CLIENT is an established and expanding real estate fund, investment and asset management company. The company work globally and boast an impressive portfolio of global institutional investors. The company have instructed us to recruit a YARDI Business Systems Manager to work closely with and report to their Director in London. The role’s purpose is to help upgrade and modernise systems and processes ensuring the effective and efficient processing of financial and non-financial data onto Yardi and to further extend the range of management tools and reports used by the business. The client is more than happy to cross-train a property accountant / property fund accountant who wishes to transition across into Business Systems.

THE Essential Functions for the YARDI Business Systems Manager will be as follows:

  • Providing Yardi support to Fund Accountants, Property Managers, Asset Managers.
  • Ensuring robust controls are established and maintained to avoid and minimise the risk to the information on the Yardi system.
  • Overseeing implementation of new mandates including task assignment, resource management and project documentation.
  • Managing the rollout of new modules and functionalities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborating with auditors during systems audits.
  • Overseeing Yardi system upgrades.
  • Managing issues identification, review and resolution processes.
  • Configuring and updating system settings.
  • Working with various departments to improve data ingestion and use, modernising processes and procedures as needed.
  • Defining project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Developing detailed project plans, schedules and timelines.
  • Allocating resources and managing project budgets.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks and issues.
  • Managing expectations and maintain stakeholder satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serving as the main point of contact for project-related communication.
  • Maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
  • Preparing and delivering project reports.
  • Documenting lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
  • Ensuring all project objectives have been met and deliverables are completed to the satisfaction of stakeholders.
  • Conducting post-project evaluations and preparing project closure reports.

THE PERSON and SKILLS REQUIREMENTS for the YARDI Business Systems Manager:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (preferably in accounting).
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar or related role, preferably with property / real estate accounting and systems experience. Yardi and Real Estate experience would be preferable.
  • Highly organised, proactive, detailed oriented, self-starter, with strong numerical skills.
  • Capable of working independently, with limited supervision. Proactive with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, effective with both internal teams and clients.
  • Skilled at managing multiple priorities and working efficiently under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Able to effectively manage expectations, keeping all stakeholders informed of workloads and timelines.
  • Collaborative team player who takes full accountability and ownership of tasks and projects.
  • A knowledge of and interest in current economic and financial market conditions.
  • Enjoying a multicultural business environment.
  • Enthusiastic and driven.
  • This role is at least 4 days in the office.
