The position is for a Year End Accountant with a day rate of £350 inside IR35.
The role is based in London and requires working onsite once a week for a duration of 6 months.

Length:6 months

We are working with a charity based in London who are looking for a Financial Accountant on an interim basis to help support the organisation as they go through their year end processes and reporting.

Job duties:

Monthly review of balance sheet account reconciliations including bank reconciliations and control accounts
Management of the year-end close and preparation of the year end accounts for the organisation, in accordance with the charities SORP and FRS 102
Liaise with the external auditors to agree the audit plan and timetable, act as key contact throughout the audit fieldwork
Preparation of the quarterly and annual VAT returns and submission to HMRC
Support with adhoc reporting requirements and other financial accounting duties

Experience needed:

Previous experience with producing financial statements, including for year end and auditing work in or with an external audit team
Previous experience working within in a charity organisation
Possess an accountancy qualification (e.g. AAT/ ACA/ ACCA/ ACMA or equivalent experience)
Excellent technical knowledge of current accounting standards
