Your new companyYou will work for a high-growth, media production business, based in the heart of London City. This business has multiplied their headcount by 10 in the last 3 years as well as projecting turnover at 2x prior year. They operate multiple legal entities across the UK and Europe.Your new roleThis role has been newly created due to business growth, and you will join an existing finance team of four people. In this progressive Accounts Assistant job, you will take ownership of varied responsibilities including:
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing - low volume, approx. 250 supplier invoices per month
- Maintenance of the cash flow forecast
- Providing month-end support to the Financial Accountant
- Supporting with payroll processing
- Year-end audit support
- Assisting the Project Accountant with the preparation of weekly project analysis reports
What you'll need to succeedThis Accounts Assistant role will suit an ambitious individual who is keen to forge a long-term career in Accounts and progress within a company. You will ideally have started or be keen to start studies towards a professional accounting qualification. Prior exposure in a similar Accounts Assistant role is desirable, but not essential. Bi/multilingual fluency in English and French and/or Spanish would also be a huge advantage (but again, it is not essential). You will ideally be comfortable using Excel to an intermediate level or be keen to learn. This company uses the NetSuite system. Prior experience would be helpful but is by no means vital. It is however, essential that you possess excellent and clear communication skills and are confident liaising with both finance and non-finance personnel. The successful candidate will be career driven, with a learning mindset; someone who will embrace the opportunity to step up. What you'll get in returnThis company offers a flexible hybrid working policy of 2 days in the office and 3 from home each week (please note that during the initial onboarding and during busy times, you may be required to work more days in the office). You will benefit from a study support package towards a relevant accounting qualification (i.e. ACCA, CIMA etc).
