A dynamic business is looking for an Accounts Assistant to manage its day-to-day financial processes on a permanent basis. With a turnover of £7m and a high volume of transactions, this role is key to ensuring smooth financial operations and maintaining accurate records.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing payroll processing, ensuring flawless accuracy and timely payments for all employees.
  • Maintaining meticulous financial records and handling high-volume bookkeeping across multiple revenue streams to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Managing bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and credit control, driving positive cash flow and financial stability while delivering exceptional service to a distinguished client base.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns and playing a key role in year-end processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Guaranteeing the accurate and efficient recording of all financial data, maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and transparency.

This is an office-based role in Bermondsey, London, requiring at least three days per week on-site. The salary for this position is £35,000, with benefits including a pension scheme, 28 days of annual leave (including bank holidays), an employee discount scheme, and an annual bonus scheme.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have solid bookkeeping experience, including transactional finance and reconciliations.
  • Be confident working independently and managing day-to-day financial tasks.
