Our client, a highly renowned Sales based consulting firm are looking for a Finance Assistant to work closely with their Finance Director. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in finance and accounting, who is proficient in managing international transactions and financial compliance.

This is a permanent position paying £27,000- £28,000

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Financial Management:

    • Manage and process international transactions across multiple currencies (GBP, EUR, USD, AED, etc.).
    • Prepare and analyse financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
    • Generate financial reports and provide insights to senior management.
    • Assess and recommend amendments to financial incentives based on long-term cost analysis.
    • Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Accounting & Credit Control:

    • Oversee invoicing processes and credit control to ensure timely payments from clients.
    • Conduct monthly financial reviews and reporting.
    • Maintain accurate financial records through day-to-day accounting activities, including accurate and prepayment journals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in Sage is a bonus. 
  • Strong skills in Office 365, particularly Excel and Outlook..
  • A keen attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • A self-motivated and proactive approach, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
