Reed Accountancy are partnering with a growing B Corp Certified lifestyle retail brand to recruit a temporary Accounts Assistant role for their small head office finance team.
Finance Assistant- Duration: Temporary 3-4 months
- Location: Hybrid (working from the Camden office 2 days per week)
- Job Type: Full-time, 9am-6pm
You’ll be a confident self-starter up for supporting the development of new processes and bringing new tools to maximise efficiency in the accounting processes.Â
You must have the ability to manage your workload of immediate daily, weekly and monthly projects and deliverables simultaneously.
Key responsibilities - training will be provided
- Accurate management of day-to-day accounting operations
- Updating and maintaining the sales ledger
- Updating and maintaining the purchase ledger
- Updating and maintaining the nominal / general ledger, supporting the preparation of:
- Trial balance
- Fixed assets register
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit card reconciliation
- Credit control
- Prepayment and accruals
- Management account calculations
- VAT / GST/ Sales tax returns – for UK and international.
- Liaising with vendors and colleagues to resolve queries in a timely manner
- Outstanding numerical skills and proficiency in Excel.
- Highly personable with strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and a self-starter attitude.
- Capable of adapting quickly and working independently.
- Excellent academic record or equivalent work experience.
- Interest in fitness and the wellness industry is a plus.
- Experience in a start-up or fast-growing e-commerce business is beneficial.
