Join a well-established Accountancy practice in North London as an Accounts Assistant. This ACCA approved training practice offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to progress their career within the Accountancy Practice sector. The role is ideal for someone with 18-24 months of experience in a similar role, preferably within a practice setting. Comprehensive training will be provided on all aspects of the job.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Perform bookkeeping duties for a variety of clients, including VAT returns, bank reconciliations, and monthly management reports. This may also involve visiting clients for bookkeeping matters.
  • Utilise accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and BrightPay effectively.
  • Prepare working papers on Excel to assist with accounts.
  • Process weekly/monthly payroll, issue payslips, handle RTI submissions, and complete auto-enrolment submissions.
  • Prepare accounts for sole traders and partnerships.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication.
  • Handle general office duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A finance degree or currently working towards an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, etc.).
  • Preferably 18-24 months experience in a practice setting.
  • Clear and professional written and spoken communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and BrightPay.
