Reed Accountancy are working with a very successful design consultancy to recruit some hands-on support for their small finance function on a temporary basis for 3 months, starting after the Easter break.
In this role, reporting to the Finance Manager you will assist in the day to day bookkeeping and accounting of 3 group companies and provide general financial support across the businesses.
You will be working in a busy design studio environment, where you will need to self-manage tasks to ensure you are able to hit deadlines.
This role requires someone who is flexible, keen to take on new responsibilities and is willing to help with additional tasks and support as and when necessary.
Aim of the Role
The aim of the role is to support the Finance Manager in processing the day to day financial transactions of the businesses.
Essential Skills
- Experience in an office environment, preferably SME
- Good with numbers and willingness to learn new skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in data entry and record keeping
- Good IT literacy and Excel skills
- Ideally experience in QuickBooks accounting package
- Able to work alone
- A pro-active, “can do” attitude
Main Tasks
You will assist the Finance Manager in the following bookkeeping duties:
- Maintaining the purchase ledger, obtaining authorisation and making payments of suppliers' invoices as and when required
- Checking and processing staff expenses from Concur and importing into QuickBooks
- Reconciliation of company debit and credit cards and importing into QuickBooks
- Entering monthly sales invoices into QuickBooks
- Processing bank transactions
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- General finance administrative tasks
This is a flexible role, with scope for full or part time working, depending on your experience. The company is based in central London, very close to St Pauls underground station.
