Our client, a top independent PR agency based in Farringdon, is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their energetic team. This role offers a great opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment and make a real impact within a supportive finance team.
Accounts Assistant Key Responsibilities:
Sales Ledger:
- Maintain accurate client information across internal systems.
- Complete and issue sales invoices promptly, ensuring income is correctly reported with the relevant accruals.
- Oversee Work in Progress (WIP) and keep the Client Billing tracker up to date.
- Manage credit control, ensuring timely payments from clients.
- Coordinate with accounts teams to ensure draft sales invoices are generated on schedule.
- Conduct monthly revenue reconciliations and post necessary journals.
- Train team members on the Paprika system, specifically the Accounts Sales module.
Payables Ledger:
- Accurately code and post supplier invoices and expenses.
- Process company credit card transactions with correct coding.
- Reconcile supplier accounts and process payments through Bankline.
- Generate purchase orders (POs) for overhead costs.
- Provide training on the Paprika system, focusing on the Accounts Purchase module.
Other Key Duties:
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Conduct cashflow forecasting and perform bank reconciliations.
- Submit pension contributions through the Standard Life portal.
- Communicate and ensure adherence to finance policies across the business.
- Manage ad hoc requests as required and liaise with external auditors.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in finance within a PR or creative agency setting.
- Strong proficiency in Paprika software is essential.
