Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Post invoices onto the Xero software system.
- Manage the age creditor ledger of funds and set up payments.
- Ensure timely receipt of rents, where applicable.
- Handle AML/KYC documentation for client onboarding and investor take-on, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with external partners for the preparation of some fund accounting.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns and maintain cash flow forecasts for various funds.
- Assist in opening bank accounts for new clients and preparing payment runs, coordinating approval as per agreed procedures.
- Adhere to internal control procedures and assist in various tasks as defined by the Fund Controller or COO to meet operational needs.
- Develop an understanding of different fund types and structures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA), currently working in an accounting practice and completing studies.
- Possess an accounting degree with a minimum 2:1 grade.
- Strong accounting skills with meticulous attention to detail and excellent client-facing skills.
- Highly organised with effective time management and planning skills.
- Problem-solving ability, with an inquisitive mind capable of troubleshooting.
- Highly productive, delivery-focused, and adaptable to ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Energetic and enthusiastic about proposing and implementing positive changes.
