Handle are delighted to be assisting a global media and content company in London in their search for an accounts payable assistant to join the central finance team, working in a busy and dynamic environment this is a fantastic opportunity to join an amazing company and develop your skills.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Purchase invoice processing and payment runs
  • Post onto SAGE, ensuring all finance team procedures are followed
  • Process expense requests for the wider business
  • Prepare and distribute monthly Barclaycard statements for the team
  • transactions and send them to the statement holder
  • Reconcile Barclaycard statements and identity discrepancies by checking receipts, VAT and descriptions
  • Working closing with the video production team and the food team
  • Reconcile monthly the external content tracker as well as:
  • Raising Sales invoices for content as noted on the tracker and
  • Posting monthly journals to SAGE, reallocating costs to content budgets
  • Work collaboratively with the wider finance team and ensure all financial information is produced
  • accurately and within time frame agreed with Head of Finance
  • The person is responsible for the Account's team post and emails in the Accounts inbox, and must ensure
  • that any queries are dealt with quickly and professionally
  • Support Head of Finance with ad-hoc projects as required, such as, updating budget folders with actuals.

You will have:

  • An analytical and methodical approach to processes
  • Excellent communications skills, able to effectively deal with colleagues all levels of the company, including senior management, in a professional and friendly manner
  • A confident self-starter approach and adaptable to often changing priorities
  • An excellent attention to details is crucial for identifying anomalies
  • Comfortable raising concerns when errors are uncovered
  • Manage a busy workload while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy
  • Ensure highly confidential and sensitive information is treated appropriately and ensure that it is not
  • inadvertently disclosed by any means (including being overheard or overseen)
  • Good experience with Google Sheet and Excel
  • Experience in using SAGE Line 200 or equivalent accountancy package.
