Duties and responsibilitiesOur client are on the look out for an ambitious and enthusiastic Accounts Semi/Senior/Trainee Accountant to join their growing business services department. You will be carrying out a range of duties and responsibilities including but not limited to;

  • Prepare sole trader, partnership, and corporate accounts.
  • Assist Seniors with analysis and preparatory work for complex cases.
  • Develop a basic understanding of tax principles, including PAYE and personal tax rules.
  • Help complete PAYE forms, P11Ds, P35s, and assist with VAT returns and company tax computations.
  • Work with the team to ensure client and Partner expectations are met and deadlines are adhered to.
  • Communicate with clients, Seniors, and other departments to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
  • Contribute to understanding the firm's methodology, professional ethics, and standards.
  • Assist in team and firm-wide initiatives, including training new members and supporting marketing activities.
  • Continuously develop professional knowledge and personal skills.
  • Uphold the firm's values by acting with integrity, fairness, and confidentiality in all interactions.

Qualifications and skills requiredIn order to succeed as an Accounts Semi-Senior/Trainee Accountant you will have at least two years of experience in an accountancy firm and will be studying towards your ACCA qualification or be AAT qualified. You will be keen to train and learn new things. You will have excellent communication and strong bookkeeping skills.
