Assistant Accountant | Digital Tech Scale-up | London / Hybrid

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with a Software-as-a-Service business in Central London their search for an Assistant Accountant to join their growing team.

The business operates in the mobile app development space, working with some of the best-known global brands in the Sports and Gaming industry. With ambitious plans for continued double digit yearly growth, it's an exciting time for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join this entrepreneurial Tech business.

The Role:

As Assistant Accountant reporting into the Finance Director, you'll play a key role in supporting the businesses scaling plans. In this varied role, you'll have exposure across the whole finance function with scope to progress by taking on more responsibilities as the business expands. Day to day, you'll have ownership of transactional finance, bookkeeping, payroll and will support with month including posting pre-payments and accruals.

Responsibilities:

* Bookkeeping on Quickbooks in multicurrency

* Run monthly payroll

* Maintain fixed assets register

* Identify opportunities to simplify/improve accounts processes and internal controls

* Answer and investigate any accounting related queries

* Verifying and reconciling contractors tables with billing information

* Streamline processes to assist with revenue recognition and cost accruals

* Prepare and submit HMRC returns (VAT & EC Sales List)

* Own AP process; preparing cashflow report and payment file on weekly basis

* Support Month-end reports and various other management reports

* Supporting the implementation and ongoing maintenance Information Security Management System (ISMS).

What we need to see (Essential):

* ACCA/ACA/CIMA part qualified or studying towards their qualification.

* Has an experience in a similar role and demonstrated efficient, accurate and timely accounting.

* Previous payroll preparation experience

What we'd like to see (bonus):

* Quickbooks experience would be an advantage.

* Experience working in a dynamic/commercial environment.

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + strong benefits package

Location: Central London (Hybrid - 1 day in office per week)
