Your new companyYou will work for a prestigious, global 5-star hotel group, renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences and luxurious accommodations, joining the dynamic cluster finance team in London. Your new roleThis is a newly created role which has come about due to a departmental restructure. In this varied Assistant Account job you will report to the Group Finance Director and work alongside a team of three in London. Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Managing and recording accruals and prepayments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of profit and loss statements to track the financial performance of the hotel group.
  • Performing regular bank and account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Intercompany reconciliation.
  • Supporting the finance team in budgeting and forecasting activities (training will be provided).
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial data in accounting systems.

What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this Assistant Accountant job, you will have recent, relevant experience working in a similar role, with exposure to month-end accounting. Previous experience working within the hospitality/hotel industry is preferable, but not essential. You will be proficient using accounting Software (Sage 200 and/or Opera advantageous), with intermediate Excel skills (inclusive of VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables). A stable employment background is sought as the client is keen to bring someone on board who wishes to develop the role and remain with the company in the long term. Candidates on up to 1-month notice period will be considered; shorter availability desirable. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.What you'll get in return
