Robert Half Finance & Accounting are exclusively partnering with a bio-fuels manufacturing business based in central London to recruit a strong Assistant Accountant to join their growing team.
Role:
Our client is looking to recruit a strong Assistant Accountant with at least 3 years experience covering both sides of the general ledger within fast paced growing businesses.
- Action Supplier/Vendor and Customer Onboarding, Billing and Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable
- General bookkeeping and account reconciliations
- Month end process including accrual and prepayment calculation and preparation of journal entries
- Support in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements including preparation of trial balances
- Internal and external reporting (group, internal stakeholders, etc.)
- Day to day cash postings and bank reconciliations
- Processing and payment of supplier invoices, travel expenses and credit card settlements
- Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns and other regulatory tax filings
- Master Data maintenance
- Support on annual audits and statutory reporting
Profile:
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience covering both accounts payable and receivable within a fast paced business. ideally this candidate should be AAT qualified or part qualified on a full accounting qualification. Strong debits and credits, as well as strong excel skills are essential as initially processes will be manual.

Salary & Benefits:
£35,000 - £45,000
hybrid working - 3 days in office
30 days holiday plus bank holidays
11% pension - 4% employee contribution
discretionary bonus - up to 15%
