Assistant Accountant

This prestigious, privately-owned property development company based in London SW1 is seeking to recruit a professional and capable Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper to work in a small finance team of four staff, in a head office of 20.

Main responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable - processing invoices, managing supplier payments and reconciling accounts
  • Customer Service - dealing within any purchase ledger queries and resolving issues
  • CIS - Completion of CIS returns
  • VAT - Assist in the production of the quarterly VAT return
  • Bank reconciliations
  • General office admin duties as required (responsibility shared by team)
  • Ad hoc reporting using MS Excel

Your background

  • Previous real estate industry experience preferred
  • Previous exposure to producing CIS returns
  • Good GCSE / A Level grades and / or bachelor's degree
  • Professional and articulate with good communication skills
  • Team player
