Superb career opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join this highly successful, ambitious and fast-growing company based in Kensington; West London. Full time or 4 days a week.

The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting reporting and compliance activities using Xero. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Director and be responsible for daily bookkeeping, payments, intercompany reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

Payments & Transactions:

  • Process and manage supplier invoices and payments.
  • Assist in preparing payment runs and ensuring necessary approvals.
  • Support bank reconciliations and transaction entries.

Reporting & Support:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Support internal financial reporting processes.
  • Submit VAT returns and assist with other tax filings if necessary.

Budget & Payroll Support:

  • Assist with payroll processing and monitor expenditure against budgets.
  • Support budget management for various departments and projects.

Compliance & General Support:

  • Assist with compliance tasks, regulatory matters, and audits.
  • Communicate with external auditors and advisors when required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • AAT qualified or equivalent (part qualified ACCA also considered).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Experience working across multiple entities or group accounts is a plus.

Salary:

£40,000 based on full time, 4 days a week is also considered. A competitive benefits package includes 25 days holiday and a discretionary bonus.
