Our client is a multinational shipping, finance advisory, and credit portfolio management service provider group headquartered in central London, with operations globally. Due to growth, the company is recruiting a Trainee Accountant to join their high-performing finance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing payments/invoices
  • Issuing recharges to customers, monitor receipt.
  • Bookkeeping for a number of asset owning entities and assist the finance team in the preparation of quarterly reporting packs.
  • Perform regular Balance Sheet reconciliations, including inter-company reconciliations
  • Assist with monthly management reports, including victualling rate analysis and crew change costs
  • Assist with Year-End financial audits
  • Ensure new suppliers are set up in compliance with company policies
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as needed

Role Requirements

  • Recent Bachelor's Degree from a UK University is desirable
  • At least 1 year within a similar Accounts role is essential
  • Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office functions (Word and Excel).
  • Ability to take and organize screenshots efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Basic understanding of document formatting and file management.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
