  • Our client, an iconic Events & Hospitality group, is seeking an energetic Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis due to continuous growth.
  • The role involves supporting the Head of Finance with management accounting processes, overseeing Accounts Payable, and assisting with Balance Sheet reconciliations and VAT returns.
  • Candidates should be actively studying for an accountancy qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or AAT and must have experience in reconciliations and data analysis.
  • Experience with intercompany/entity recharges is advantageous for applicants.
  • The salary for this position is competitive, and candidates are expected to have at least one year of relevant experience.

Our client is an iconic Events & Hospitality group with an ever-expanding footprint and a fantastic culture. Due to the continues growth, they require an energetic Assistant Accountant to help the finance team on a permanent basis.This team member will be involved across all activities of the function, including:

The role:

  • Support Head of Finance in routine management accounting month end processes, tax and related matters pertaining to all group entities including journal preparation and processing.
  • Management accounts for two small entities with support from Head of Finance.
  • Overseeing Accounts Payable function.
  • Assisting with the preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Reconcile and submission of VAT returns.
  • Support the Head of Finance for the annual group audits to ensure queries are answered on time.
  • Credit control duties including management of the receivables report daily.
  • Support key accounting processes and the improvement of finance infrastructure.
  • Providing cover for Finance team members as required to ensure the orderly functioning of the Finance department.

Background of candidate:

  • Actively studying for an accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA/AAT equivalent qualification)
  • Experience of reconciliations, variance and data analysis
  • Experience with intercompany/entity recharges is advantageous
