Assistant Financial Accountant

We are looking for a driven Assistant Financial Accountant to join this growing team. Key Responsibilities:

• Processing transactions, invoices, credit notes, and journal entries
• Assisting with monthly and annual financial reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and variance analysis
• Managing accounts payable and receivable, as well as vendor payments and weekly payment runs
• Supporting the preparation of quarterly VAT returns and annual statutory accounts
• Contributing to process improvements and business projects
• Providing ad hoc finance support as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Essential:

  • Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulae
  • At least one year of experience in a finance-related role, with exposure to high-volume, complex invoicing (AP & AR)
  • A solid understanding of core financial principles (e.g., debits vs. credits, accruals, reconciliations)
  • A driven personality with a strong desire to learn and excel

• Desirable:

  • Knowledge of statutory accounts or audit processes (IFRS or UK GAAP)
  • Experience with Sage Intacct finance system
  • A degree in Accounting or Finance
