This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a social and supportive finance team within a business experiencing a 25% YOY growth rate. The Assistant Financial Accountant position is ideal for someone with strong Excel skills and a finance background, offering full study support, a competitive benefits package, and the chance to significantly grow within the role.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 1 year in a finance-related role with experience in high-volume, complex invoicing (both Accounts Payable & Receivable)
  • Solid understanding of core financial principles (e.g., debits vs. credits, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations)
  • Strong Excel ability, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulae
  • Driven and eager to learn and demonstrate their abilities
  • Desirable: Experience with statutory accounts/audit processes and/or an Accounting/Finance-related degree

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process transactions, journals, invoices, and credit notes, ensuring accurate revenue recognition
  • Assist with monthly/annual financial reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations, cash postings, and bank reconciliations
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, setting up weekly payment runs, and managing vendor payments
  • Support the preparation of quarterly VAT returns and annual statutory accounts, including assisting with audits
  • Contribute to process improvements, support business improvement projects, and provide ad hoc finance support as needed
