We’re excited to be partnering with a global music industry giant on their search for an Assistant Financial Accountant. This hybrid role offers a fantastic opportunity to support key Financial Accounting, Tax, and Treasury functions.

Reporting to the team’s Finance Lead, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring statutory and tax compliance, collaborating with internal teams, and maintaining best practices. You’ll also engage with external contacts, including auditors and tax authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee US tax processes and Qualified Intermediary (QI) compliance.
  • Assist with VAT and corporation tax returns, ensuring compliance with international regulations.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and treasury operations, including international payments.
  • Prepare month end journals and financial reconciliations, audit deliverables, and assist with the self-billing process.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and contribute to process improvements.

The ideal candidate:

  • At least 2 years working within a financial department, handling reconciliations, financial statements, VAT, and tax returns.
  • Strong Excel, financial reporting, and tax (VAT, corporation tax) knowledge.
  • Someone progressing towards CIMA/ACCA or similar qualification is desirable but not essential.
