My client is  seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to join a well-established company based in North west London. This role is ideal for an active ACCA student looking to progress their career in finance. The successful candidate will be involved in a range of financial duties including balance sheet reconciliations, VAT reconciliations, and upgrading systems.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Conduct thorough checks on supplier reconciliations and CIS payments.
- Ensure the balance sheet is clean through regular investigations and reconciliations.
- Participate in upgrading financial systems, providing support but not leading the process.
- Perform stock and VAT reconciliations diligently.
- Prepare for the next stages of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Currently studying towards ACCA qualification (active studier).
- Experience with Business Central software is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of financial processes including balance sheet and VAT reconciliations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive in learning and career development.
