As Assistant Management Accountant you will work with the wider business to ensure that income and cost of sales are accurately reported across a variety of events, providing management information and budgetary support to budget holders.

Experience in a similar role is essential along with strong numeracy and communication skills. You will hold or be working towards either CIMA or ACCA qualification or have equivalent work experience.

The salary is £31,359pa depending on experience.

This is a full time, permanent role working Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30.

Key duties include:

  1. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
  2. Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis
  3. Perform cost analysis and assist in the preparation of cost reports
  4. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain the Fixed Asset Register
  5. Maintain and update financial databases and systems
  6. Monitory and report on departmental expenditure
  7. Identify and recommend improvements to existing financial processes

Essential:

  • Part qualified or training towards either CIMA or ACCA qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role preferably in retail, hospitality or leisure
  • Experience working with accounting software
  • Broad practical experience of working on Purchase and Sales ledgers
  • Able to use Excel to manipulate data, lookups and pivot tables
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer focused
