Assistant Property AccountantLondon£30k-£32k4 days in the office, 1 day at home Bonus

The role: Our client require an Assistant Property Accountant to assist with all transactional aspects of the finance function spanning across mainly Accounts Payable and some Receivable. The role would also involve assisting with preparation and review of client Cash Statements.

Duties:

  • Responsible for the Accounts payable including coding, batching and processing invoices.
  • Responsible for the Accounts receivable and processing payments, carrying out weekly BACS run
  • Preparing bank reconciliations, ensuring that cash book ledger is matched to bank statement afterposting transactions from bank
  • Handling supplier queries in a timely manner
  • Ensuring all rent and service charges are raised in line with internal KPI’s
  • Assisting with credit control and chasing outstanding payments
  • Assist with the maintenance of property management database
  • Assisting Client Accountants with Client Statement reporting
  • Preparing Inter-bank transfers as required
  • Creating new suppliers on Blue Box (Tramps) - confirming details with property managers.
  • Work hand in hand with the other client accountants to manage the accounts inbox ensuring queriesare dealt with promptly
  • Escalating challenging queries sent to accounts to the relevant Accountant
  • Assisting the team with ad hoc requests

Requirements:

  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel - Pivot tables, V-lookups.
  • functions, ledger chart codes etc.
  • Experience of client statement and rent raising modules on accounting systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, creative and driven, with the ability to work independently when required.
