HFG are currently representing an established reinsurance company who are looking to bring in an assistant syndicate accountant to join their team. This role would suit a candidate who is eager to learn the syndicate accounting side of insurance. In this role you will be directly reporting into the Syndicate Controller.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for the upload of fx rates and revaluations routines within the Sun ledgers.

Assist in the preparation of regulatory reporting to Lloyd's.

Liaise with external auditors and deliver reconciliations that are the responsibility of this role.

Support the syndicate accountant in delivering timely, accurate and concise financial information as required.

Assist in monitoring bank account balances.

Assist in the preparation of weekly liquidity analysis.

Assist in the preparation of quarterly VAT returns.

Responsible for the setting up of payments in the banking system.

Responsible for the setting up of FX trades.
General Skills & Experience:
-
Experience within the Lloyd's insurance market for 1+ years

Experience in the close process of a multi-currency ledger structure
-
Working knowledge of UK GAAP

Advance Excel and knowledge of Word
-
Effective prioritisation and organisation skills
