CMC is collaborating with an exciting FMCG company based in London to recruit an Accounts Assistant. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working within finance teams and strong proficiency in Excel.
This is initially a temporary role, although there is a strong opportunity to go permanent. The successful candidate must be available to start at short notice.
We are looking for someone with a proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn new skills, enabling them to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Finance team's monthly tasks.Key Responsibilities:
- Upload invoices into the approval workflow system promptly and accurately.
- Maintain and update the supplier database to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee the purchase order workflow to ensure adherence to company processes.
- Accurately code and input purchase invoices into the accounting system.
- Match direct debits to corresponding supplier invoices.
- Reconcile supplier statements with the purchase ledger to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Handle supplier queries efficiently and professionally.
- Manage weekly and monthly payment runs to ensure timely payments.
- Prepare detailed monthly debtor reports for management review.
- Proactively chase outstanding debts to facilitate timely payments.
- Accurately allocate payments received to the corresponding debtor accounts.
