Interim Assistant Accountant - Service Charges

A large London Housing Association is seeking an Interim Assistant Accountant - Service Charges on an initial three month contract to assist their team. This is an opportunity for someone with strong service charge experience who can ensure financial accuracy and improve efficiency within the service charge processes of a large, brand name Housing Provider.

Key responsibilities include:

• Completing complex reconciliations of service charge data
• Supporting the Senior Service Charge Accountant in budgeting and forecasting, estimates and actuals, and preparing information to respond to queries
• Ensuring the correct apportionment of service charge costs to the appropriate accounts

This role offers hybrid working, with three days per week required in their East London office. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys working in a close-knit team while being hands-on with service charge accounting.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have demonstrable expertise in service charge accounting, preferably within the Housing sector
• Be a part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or have significant relevant experience
• Be available at short notice and ready to step in and make an immediate impact
