East London (Essex borders) - our client is a £30m Ecommerce business with an impressive success story. This JuniorAccounts Assistant role is an excellent opportunity - the company is seeking a bright candidate to join its Accounts department.

This Accounts Assistant role will work closely with, and learn from, the Finance Manager and Finance Director and will include:

  • Maintain and reconcile UK and foreign currency bank accounts
  • Process accounts payable / purchase ledger invoices and expenses
  • Prepare payment runs and gain authorisation for payment
  • Process accounts receivable / sales ledger invoices and credit notes
  • Process payments from customers and assist with reconciliation
  • Maintain cashbooks; ecommerce and receipts reconciliations
  • Produce and analyse aged debtor report
  • Assist with the collection of customer debt as required
  • Assist with production of monthly sales data and analysis

This Accounts Assistant role is an excellent opportunity to begin a career in Accounts - ideally you will have some knowledge or experience already in Accounts either from studies or work experience.

Strong Excel skills are essential together with a very positive work attitude and a desire to learn. The role will be 4 days in the office in East London (hybrid Fridays working from home). In time, the company can support you in the future with AAT / ACCA / CIMA study.
