Senior Bookkeeper required to join a well established Westminster based Accountancy practice on a full time, permanent basis. This is a hands-on bookeeping role, which will require the accountant to work both under their own initiative in as part of a team. The role primarily focuses on bookkeeping, VAT, and management accounts. There will also be an element of year-end accounting assignments when required for numerous clients.

Senior Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant Job Overview

Working principally on QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage Line 50. Also, there will be exposure and working on other various client software packages on an ad-hoc basis.

Bank, cash, payroll, sales & purchase ledger input & reconciliations.

Preparation & filing of VAT returns.

Preparation of periodic management accounts.

Preparing and including monthly trial balances, cash flow statements, and other specific client reporting requirements.

Involvement in the preparation of annual financial statements to trial balance stage, including computing accruals, prepayments, depreciation etc.

Assisting in the preparation of year-end financial statements for both companies and unincorporated businesses.

Liaising with clients on a regular and timely basis to obtain their books and records.

Dealing directly with clients to resolve and provide assistance with any queries, discrepancies, and other issues on an ad-hoc basis.
