Our lovely client, a small Solicitors firm in the West end is looking for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their team. Assisting the Head of Accounts, the role is outlined as followed.

Your duties as a Senior Accounts Assistant will primarily be to assist the Head of Accounts with the day-to-day tasks and matters including all relevant administration tasks and telephone answering. In addition to undertaking all necessary accountancy work as given to you, your duties will also include but are not limited to:

(a) Bookkeeping

(b) Numerical data entry on Sage and other practice management platforms

(c) Payment entry and fraud checks

(d) Invoice checking and calculations

(e) Making payments

(f) Collecting money

(g) Chasing client payments / credit control

(h) Time recording

(i) Opening files

(j) Closing files

(k) Archiving

(l) Assisting with preparation of yearly accounts for filing with Companies House

(m) Assisting with the preparation of management account and month end duties

(n) Assisting with property related expenditure

(o) Assisting with property management and deposit protection

(p) Assisting with yearly audit

(q) Taking care of administrative tasks, such as correspondence, filing and printing

(r) Scheduling client appointments

(s) Managing key and important deadlines

(t) Managing customer records and due diligence (KYC)

(u) All other reasonable tasks and office errands which we may ask you to undertake

1.4 We would note:

(a) Our work is mixed. You will have the opportunity to train, undertake work and gain

experience in the following areas:

(i) Property Accounts

(ii) Restaurant and Bar Accounts

(iii) Solicitors Accounts

You do not need to have experience in Solicitor's Accounts. This is not a Solicitor's Accounts role, but you may need to assist with some bookkeeping relating to.
