Equifind are representing a Wealth Management firm based in Mayfair, who are looking to hire a Senior Accounts Assistant.

You will be directly reporting to the Finance Manager but the role will also sit closely with the Head of Finance. You'll be supporting and assisting the team with FCA reporting, bank reconciliations and both accounts payable and receivable along with other accounting tasks.

The company are in to work life balance, employee well-being and giving people broad experience in a structured way. Currently working in a hybrid work pattern with 3-days per week in the office and 2-days WFH, remotely.

The Role:

The key responsibilities for the Senior Accounts Assistant for the Wealth Management firm based in the City of London will be:

  • Process invoices received and their entry into the general ledger for processing.
  • Monitor and organise the accounts payable inbox.
  • Accounts Payable ('AP’) processing.
  • Review and code invoices before sending to appropriate team members for approval.
  • Preparing and processing weekly payment runs.
  • Perform supplier reconciliations between supplier statements and the general ledger, including more complex utility reconciliations.
  • Prepare the quarterly purchase ledger report with comments on current status, ready for review.
  • Liaise with suppliers to maintain relationships and to request refunds, statements and missing invoices.
  • Be the Finance contact for the utilities provider and attend fortnightly calls to discuss current status of accounts.
  • Keep the master utilities log up-to-date.
  • Process reports to review disputed items.
  • Process other ad-hoc reports as required.
  • Prepare quarterly purchase ledger write-off report for CFO to approve.

Application Criteria:

To be considered for the role of Senior Accounts Assistant working for this Wealth Management firm based in Mayfair, candidates should ideally be:

  • Ideally an A-Level/School Leaver.
  • Ideally actively in pursuit of the AAT Level-2/3 currently.
  • Anything from 6-18 Months experience within a finance function.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-growing environment.
  • Strong work ethic and good culture.

Compensation:

The Senior Accounts Assistant working for this Wealth Management firm based in Mayfair will be paid a competitive market based salary with full study support (AAT, CIMA, ACCA)
