My client a medium sized City Law firm are seeking a dedicated Senior Legal Cashier to oversee our cashiering functions and ensure compliance with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our financial processes and requires a candidate with strong legal cashiering experience and excellent numeracy skills.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the cashiering function, ensuring all requests in the cashier’s inbox are dealt with promptly.
  • Manage residual client balances and maintain the SRA Accounts Rules breaches register.
  • Prepare daily and monthly client and office bank reconciliations.
  • Serve as the primary contact point with our bankers for day-to-day cashiering matters.
  • Liaise with the Accounts Payable function, providing support and cover as needed.
  • Support the Chief Financial Officer with all cashiering matters.
  • Oversee the management of debtors and take responsibility for credit control processes.
  • Conduct conflict checks and open new matters as required.
  • Oversee the Financial Sanctions platform, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong legal cashiering experience and up-to-date knowledge of the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules.
  • Excellent numeracy, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to work well within a team environment with limited supervision.
  • Experience with Aderant Expert is beneficial but not essential.

The working hours are 9.30am-5.30pm
