I am delighted to be partnered with an exceptional boutique London law firm in their search for a Senior Legal cashier to join their team. Reporting into an experienced CFO this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cashier to join a great team.

Day duties of the role:

  • Primary Contact for Bankers: Serve as the main point of contact for day-to-day cashiering matters with our bankers, ensuring smooth and efficient communication.
  • Oversee Cashiering Function: Manage the overall cashiering function, including the prompt handling of requests in the cashier's inbox to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Prepare daily and monthly reconciliations for both client and office bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Residual Client Balances: Manage residual client balances, ensuring they are accurately tracked and appropriately handled.
  • Financial Sanctions Platform: Oversee the Financial Sanctions platform, ensuring all transactions comply with relevant sanctions and regulations.
  • SRA Accounts Rules Breaches Register: Maintain the SRA Accounts Rules breaches register, ensuring all breaches are documented and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Accounts Payable Liaison: Liaise with the Accounts Payable function, providing support and cover as needed to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Support to CFO: Provide comprehensive support to the Chief Financial Officer on all cashiering matters, contributing to strategic financial planning and decision-making.
  • Debtor Management and Credit Control: Oversee the management of debtors and take responsibility for credit control processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.
  • Conflict Checks and New Matters: Conduct conflict checks and open new matters as required, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

The right candidate will need:

  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work well within a team environment, even with limited supervision.
  • Legal Cashiering Expertise: Demonstrated strong experience in legal cashiering, with up-to-date knowledge of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
  • Numeracy and Communication Skills: Excellent numeracy skills, coupled with strong communication abilities.
  • Time Management: Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Pressure Handling: Ability to work efficiently under pressure, maintaining high performance standards.
  • Aderant Expert Experience: Experience with Aderant Expert is beneficial, though not essential.
