A mid-tier, well recognised practice in Central London is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team.

The firm are an established, 14 partner, mid-tier practice and are seeking 2 accounts assistants to join their largest department in the firm.

You should be already working in practice and have developed a stable foundation of experience within a firm of chartered accountants. Ideally you will be studying towards either your AAT or ACCA Qualification.

This is an excellent firm to train and study towards your professional qualification and would be well suited to someone looking to work at a mid-tier firm whereby they can gain all-round exposure and be offered scope for personal development and career progression.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare sole trader, partnership and corporate accounts
  • Assist Seniors with analysis and preparatory work for more complex cases
  • Acquire a basic knowledge of tax and an understanding of the principles of personal tax rules and PAYE
  • Assist with completion of PAYE forms, P11Ds and P35s
  • Assist with preparation of VAT returns for review by Partner/Manager
  • Assist with straightforward analysis and preparatory work for Seniors
  • Prepare simple company tax computations
