What you'll do:
As a Treasury Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance team. Your primary responsibility will be managing the bank reconciliation process. You will also provide assistance with revenue allocation, payment analysis, and various financial transactions. Your keen attention to detail will be essential as you perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations. You will investigate discrepancies and assist with resolving any banking issues. Additionally, you will prepare and post journal entries related to treasury transactions, adjustments, and corrections. Your input will be valuable in identifying improvements to reconciliation processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Support the Finance team in managing the bank reconciliation process.
* Provide help with revenue allocation, payment analysis, and financial transactions.
* Process customer receipt allocations daily and payment runs across the group.
* Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
* Investigate discrepancies and assist with the resolution of any banking issues.
* Prepare and post journal entries related to treasury transactions, adjustments, and corrections.
* Identify and suggest improvements to reconciliation processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Work closely with finance, risk, treasury, and technology teams to resolve transaction discrepancies.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Treasury Assistant role brings a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles along with basic knowledge of treasury management. You have proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level which enables you to work comfortably with formulas and models. Your strong attention to detail coupled with your organisational skills make you adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously. You are comfortable working independently but also thrive when collaborating within a team.
* Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
* Basic knowledge of treasury management, cash flow forecasting, and financial transactions.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level), with the ability to work with some formulas and models.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Experience in treasury management or a finance-related role is desirable.
* Knowledge of treasury management software and banking platforms is beneficial.
