Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to join their team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide actuarial services that support business operations through reserving, reporting, portfolio management, pricing, renewals, and technical analysis. You will be working closely with senior actuaries and pricing specialists, contributing to key business decisions and ensuring the profitability of existing portfolios and new opportunities.

What you'll do:

As an Actuarial Analyst, your role will be pivotal in supporting the business operations through various actuarial services. You will be responsible for delivering timely analyses, supporting product development, financial analysis, management reporting, and assisting in managing profitability through actuarial calculations and data insights. Your ability to develop relationships with internal stakeholders will be crucial as you recommend changes to actuarial assumptions and update models for improvement. Your keen eye for identifying trends in portfolio, valuation, and data analysis will play a significant role in the company's success.

  • Possess knowledge of data sources and link data structures for business performance measures.
  • Develop reporting and analytical tools for business insight.
  • Prepare reports and data for analysis, pricing reviews, and liability valuation.
  • Recommend changes to actuarial assumptions and update models for improvement.
  • Identify trends in portfolio, valuation, and data analysis.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to less experienced actuarial staff.
  • Ensure accurate data usage and perform appropriate checks to minimise inaccuracies.
  • Maintain data integrity and strong relationships with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate for the Actuarial Analyst position brings a wealth of relevant experience along with a tertiary degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Your background in an Actuarial or Analytics department will be highly valued. Your ability to think critically while maintaining attention to detail will be essential in this role.
