IDEX Consulting are looking for a number of qualified pensions actuaries to join our clients GMP Equalisation team. We have a unique approach to solving the problems around GMP and are looking for technically minded people to join our friendly and supportive team.

Though previous experience in GMP calculations is an advantage, a desire and ability to grasp complex actuarial concepts and find solutions to them is a requirement.

In this role you will be working as part of the GMP team to assist clients in equalising pensions for their scheme members.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with and understanding member data
  • Reviewing and signing off on complex calculations
  • Reviewing and signing off on written advice to clients on this topic
  • Communicating results to client teams and supporting them as you work through the projects together. Can include, if desired, delivering advice to clients in meetings
  • Regular liaison and communication with the GMP team
  • Opportunity to get involved in specialist research and development teams in areas that interest you
  • Training and managing more junior colleagues as they embark on their actuarial career

Essential Criteria

  • FIA qualification
  • Experience in DB pensions industry, in an actuarial role
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
